Q. Where are my seats located?
A. A reserve seats are located in sections A & B of the seat plan.
B reserve seats are located in section C on the seat plan. C reserve seats are located in section D on the seat plan.
Q. Can I bring my bags to the venue if I am coming straight to the venue.
A. Unfortunately due to security considerations, we cannot store your bags at the venue. You will need to drop your bags off before coming to The Dome.
Q. Given that the dates have changed, is my existing ticket valid?
A. Yes, your ticket is completely valid even if the date on it is wrong but if you wish you can log in to the website and reprint your ticket with the correct date.
Q. How do I pay if I don’t have a credit card?
A. Simply send a cheque to PO Box 43, Ashfield NSW 1800 with your return address and we will post your ticket(s) to you.
Q. Who are the scholarships for?
A. We have allocated a limited number of tickets for people in financial hardship. Those who register for scholarships will be considered by the board and notified whether they have been successful.
Q. Do Sangha attend for free?
A. In a word, yes. We are asking for people to sponsor the Sangha, but our intention is to make seats available for all members of the Sangha.
Q. Is there disabled access at the venue?
A. Yes. If you are disabled please phone (02 9575 4888) or email us at info@dalailamainaustralia.org and let us know at the time you make your booking and we will help with your seating allocation.
Q. Will His Holiness be doing any public talks on his trip to Australia in June?
A. No, the only event on this trip will be the 5 days of Teachings in Sydney.
Q. Can I purchase tickets for just one day of the Teachings?
A. For now, we are only selling 5 day packages, as this is by far the preferred way to benefit from the Teachings, and we don’t want to disadvantage those who will commit to the whole 5 days. At a date to be announced, and if there are still single day tickets available, we will make those available.
Q. Are tickets fully refundable in the unfortunate case of the tour being cancelled?
A. In the case of cancellation, we are refunding at least 90% of the ticket price and retaining a maximum of 10% to cover costs.
Q. Can we make a donation to help with the costs of the tour?
A. Donations can be made on the ticketing website from 12 noon January 9, 2008
Q. Will the Teachings be in English?
A. Yes – His Holiness will teach in English with assistance from a translator.
Q. Will translations be available in other languages?
A. Tibetan, Mandarin & Vietnamese translations will be available via FM transmission at the venue. Please ensure you bring a FM receiver/radio to the event – the frequency will be advised at the event. Headphones are a must since you do not want to disturb the majority of listeners nearby, who may not be listening to the translation. A small number of FM receivers & headsets will be available at the Teachings for hire. Please visit the Information Desk, which will be located within the foyer at the venue.
Q. Will there be options to the lunch packs to purchase?
A. Yes, a Variety of food outlets at the venue, and of course you can bring your own.
