Due to unforeseen circumstances, the dates for the Stages of Meditation Teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Sydney have been changed from June 15-19 to Wednesday June 11 - Sunday June 15.

The King of Jordan has invited His Holiness to attend a special conference of Nobel Laureates to deal with ‘pressing global problems’.

The program itself is unaffected and these new dates do have the added benefit of spanning a full weekend so they now involve less days off work.

Dear Mr Kevin Rudd,

I was very encouraged to hear on the news about the apology you made in parliament to all Aborigines for laws and policies that "inflicted profound grief, suffering and loss" upon them. Overall, this was a timely, appropriate and civilized thing to do.

Although, of course, this is not a matter in which I have any direct concern, because you and I know each other, I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate this kind gesture.
