Cancellation Policy

  1. You acknowledge and agree that we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the 2008 Dalai Lama Stages of Meditation Teachings for any reason. If the 2008 Dalai Lama Stages of Meditation Teachings is cancelled, you agree that the ticket price is not fully refundable and that we may in our discretion retain a percentage of up to but no more than ten percent (10%) of the ticket price to pay for cancellation fees, costs and expenses that are incurred by us in connection with the event and which are not covered by our insurance. We will refund to you that portion of the ticket price remaining after all cancellation fees, costs and expenses have been fully paid by us but this amount will not be less than ninety percent (90%) of the original ticket price.

General Terms & Conditions

  1. You and ‘your’ refers to the customer. ‘We’, ‘us’, ‘our’ and/or event organiser refers to Dalai Lama in Australia Ltd (ABN 97 093 226 389). 'Event' means the 2008 Dalai Lama Stages of Meditation Teachings This ‘agreement' means these terms and conditions and any other conditions specified by us on our booking form.
  2. All bookings and ticket purchases are non-transferable and may not be sold or transferred by you.
  3. There is  no refund or exchange on any ticket or service fee except in accordance with the applicable laws in the region of purchase.
  4. Replacement is not available for lost, destroyed or stolen for General Admission tickets. Reserved, Sangha and Scholarship seating lost, destroyed or stolen can be replaced. A service fee will apply.
  5. We reserve the right to charge a fee for the replacement of tickets.
  6. Although we will endeavor to adhere to the publicised contents of the Teachings, you accept that we have the right to alter elements of the event, including any advertised personal appearances, in our sole discretion.
  7. The right of admission is reserved and is subject to the event organiser and the venues terms of admission.
  8. Any audio or visual recordings of the event are prohibited. Still cameras (not professional) are permitted but images may only be used for private purposes, not public display.
  9. You  consent to be included in film and sound recordings of the event and for these recordings to be used by the event organizer for any purpose including in its promotional and/or marketing materials.
  10. It may be a condition of entry that a search of person or possessions will be required at the time of entry to the venue.
  11. Entry may be refused by the event organizer if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way.
  12. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability of any nature for the acts, omissions or default of those providing services in connection with the 2008 Dalai Lama Stages of Meditation Teachings or any liability for any injury, damage, loss, delay or additional expenses which are incurred at or in association with this event. Where legislation implies any condition or warranty which cannot be excluded or modified, that condition or warranty will be deemed to be included in this agreement. However, our liability for any breach of such condition or warranty will be limited, at our option, to the resupply of the services or the cost of having the services supplied again. In no event will we be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary or special damages.
  13. You acknowledge that neither we nor the venue will be responsible for any loss or damage to any property (including personal property such as bags, money or other personal items) brought to or purchased at the event by you or your invitees.
  14. You will be liable for any loss or damage caused at the event by you or your invitees.
  15. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the 2008 Dalai Lama Stages of Meditation Teachings for any reason. .
  16. You must ensure that at all times you and your invitees act in an orderly manner when attending the event. We may refuse entry to you or evict you or any of your invitees if you or they are behaving in a manner that we in our discretion regard as disorderly or inappropriate.
  17. The event is open to all ages. Children under the age of 16 years attending require adult supervision at all times. Patrons displaying antisocial or unlawful behavior will be dealt with by police. Uniform and undercover police will be in attendance.
  18. Pursuant to your booking, we may need to collect and keep personal information about you including your name, address, credit card or payment details, telephone number and the names of all ticket allocations. Unless you tell us otherwise, we may disclose your contact details to third parties so they can provide you with promotional material about other events and products in relation to Buddhism. We may also need to disclose your personal information as required by law or as permitted under the Privacy Act. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we will handle your personal information.
  19. The Dome, Sydney Showground, is a smoke free zone and  smoking is not permitted at any time within the confines of the venue.
  20. The 2008 Dalai Lama Stages of Meditation Teachings care for the environment. Please be respectful and place any litter in the bins provided around the venue.
  21. This agreement is governed by the laws of Australia.
